Our crew will give you a single, up-front price before we get to work, and that’s the price you’ll pay once we’re done—no surprises! All you must do is direct our guys to what you want removed and we will make sure we find new homes for all your old memories!

How does The Junk Trunk charge for removal?

The Junk Trunk prices are based on the amount of space your items take up in the back of our truck. We break down the load sizes into (min, 1/3, 1/4, 1/2, 2/3, 3/4) all the way up to a full truckload. Our trucks hold the equivalent of 6-8 pickup trucks.

Our prices may vary based on location and there is a minimum charge for our teams to remove your items. 

We offer single-item pricing for certain items such as mattresses or TVs.

For materials that have a heavy cubic weight like dirt, concrete, and gravel, pricing is based on the total volume that the material takes up in the truck, up to a maximum of one foot in height for a full truck.

How does our "no obligation" quote work?

At The Junk Trunk, we want to do our best to give you an accurate price. We offer complimentary, no-obligation estimates to meet the unique specifications of your budget. Since we price based on how much volume your items take up in our truck, we need to see your items before arriving at a final price and removing your items.  You can start by sending pictures of your items to 303-815-0467. As soon as our crew arrives on-site, they’ll look at all the items you want to be removed and provide an exact price before starting the job. We only complete the job if you are happy with the price. 

How big is our truck?

The box on the truck is the size of a small bedroom, with measurements of 14 feet long, 8 feet wide, and 5 feet high. The truck is equal to the size of a 20-cubic yard dumpster.

Can I get an exact price before you arrive?

No, we can’t give you an exact price over the phone. Since we typically price based on how much space your items take up in the truck, we need to see the items in person before we can give you an exact price. For some single item removals, we can give you an estimated price before the appointment, but the final price will always be given on-site. 

What methods of payment do you accept?

We accept checks and major credit cards.

Should I tip the junk removal team?

Tips are by no means expected or obligatory when using our service. However, we know our teams greatly appreciate them and work extremely hard. If you feel like they did a great job, feel free to tip as you see fit.

How much of the donation pickup do you handle?

At The Junk Trunk, our team can do it all. Our team can pick up any items you’re donating from anywhere on your property. We’ll sort, pack, and haul them off without any effort on your part. We love finding new homes for old memories!

Where do you drop off donations?

We have a variety of partnerships with local charities and non-profit organizations, and an especially close partnership with Habitat Humanity Restore, where we drop off donations monthly. Habitat pickup and delivery is one of the most common things we handle, and we’re glad to be able to do our part in reducing the waste that contributes to landfills. 

What if the non-profit or charity doesn’t accept the items?

Sometimes items that we pick up do not meet the requirements of the non-profits and charities we partner with for donations. If your items are not accepted, we will transport all remaining items to a local recycling center or a waste-to-energy facility at no additional cost to you. As the industry’s leader in eco-friendly junk removal, recycling, and donation pickup and delivery, landfills will always be our last resort.

Yes, we’re fully licensed and insured! We have insurance covering damages to both persons and property for every single booking.

Can you remove my junk if I’m not onsite?

Yes! We offer arrangements where we can get the job done even if you aren’t home, as long as the items are easily accessible. The team can take payment over the phone.

When you request junk recycling and disposal services from us, we’ll make sure your electronics are transported to local recycling centers in your area. No matter your junk removal or recycling needs, The Junk Trunk team will always do their part to ensure eco-friendly service from start to finish. What items does The Junk Trunk not accept?

The list of unaccepted items may vary, as we need to adhere to local regulations in each location. Generally, we can’t take anything toxic or hazardous, and are also unable to take car or truck chassis. Here are a few items we typically do not accept:

Does The Junk Trunk remove paint?

Yes, we can take paint. If you have paint that you need to get rid of, give us a call and we’ll let you know if we can take it and if any surcharge applies.

Can you remove large and bulky items such as pianos and hot tubs?

Absolutely! We take big items all the time. If it can be lifted and loaded into the truck by two people, we’ll be happy to take it away for you!

What does The Junk Trunk do with all the junk they remove?

Our goal is always to be as environmentally responsible as possible, while being sure to follow local regulations. We do our best to keep items out of the landfill by donating the donate-ables and recycling the recyclables as much as we can.

Is your junk removal service eco-friendly?

Feel guilty for adding to your local landfill? Don’t sweat it. The Junk Trunk prides itself on removing your items in an eco-friendly manner. We do our part to keep our planet green through sustainable practices. All non-hazardous waste we remove will be disposed of in the most eco-friendly way possible, donating and recycling up to 65% of all items we remove from your property.
